My resolution is to raise political awareness and persuade eligible voters to increase their participation for upcoming elections.
The reason I am sharing this with you is: –
1. I want to ensure, that we have well informed voters to choose better representatives.
2. I need your help to achieve my objectives.
Why well-informed voters matter.
2019 is an election year, you and I with other Albertans will be voting to elect our provincial and federal representatives. The voter turnout in 2015 elections (provincial and federal) for our area was comparatively better than other areas of our province (more than 60%). I am working hard, going door to door to increase voter turnout by another 10 – 15 percent. This will translate to 10,000 plus well-informed increased voters’ participation to choose better representatives.
Majority of our constituents are non-partisan well educated and informed voters, either professional or business owners. Anyone can get anger due to negative propaganda and deliberately created wrong perceptions due to our affordability and financial hardship. In anger we may choose to vote for wrong candidates.
I want to counter this negativity and correct the misperception. I want to raise issues and want you to vote for a candidate who can provide better solutions to our problems, the one who can solve issue.
Albertans have been riding the financial roller coaster due to our dependency on energy sector and bad policies. Albertans has lost valuable time in petty politics, we cannot afford to waist anymore. We need to identify our real issues not fake issue to distraction us. We need solutions to our problems not slogans and soundbites. Now is the time to tell our politicians to stop blaming other or excuses for their failures.
With your help we can overcome negative propaganda and look beyond soundbites. We will create hope and get-well informed voters to choose better representative accountable and answerable to us.
